Bay Fishing Port Aransas
Port Aransas offers excellent bay fishing anytime of the year. Bay fishing can also be called inshore fishing, flats fishing or wade fishing. Most of the time, the Port Aransas bay guides will be fishing in water that is less than 3 or 4 feet deep. The licensed bay guides will be targeting a variety of different fish such as Redfish or red drum, speckled trout, flounder, sheepshead and black drum. All of these fish can be caught year round, but they also have their own times of the year when one fish may bite better than the others.
The average size of the bay boat will be between 22-24 feet, and can comfortable take up to 4 anglers. The trips can range from 4 to 8 hours depending on the fishing trip you decide on. The bay guides provide the bait, tackle and ice for the fish. All you need to bring is a fishing license and what you want to eat and drink. For a small fee, there is even a fish cleaning service available at the dock if you don’t want to clean your own fish.
If you happen to have more than 4 people, there are a few guides that will take up to 6 people. If you have large groups, we can get numerous boats that leave and come back at the same time and location for your convenience.
Please feel free to call or email with any questions or if you would like to get out fishing.
